This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which include telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronics.

Learn More About Our Company Summary Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for supporting manufacturing by maintaining equipment on breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance as per schedules Responsibilities Compliance with Company Environmental, Health and Safety procedures Completion of Planned preventative maintenance tasks Maintenance / repair of equipment in breakdown situations.
Safe isolation of equipment Ensure highest levels of housekeeping and cleanliness whilst working Liaise across all areas of the organization to achieve production priorities Issuing of work permits for site contractors and ensuring contractors are operating in accordance with site rules Qualifications Full-time served apprenticeship Essential qualifications – BTEC National or City & Guilds and HNC MEWP and harness trained by recognized organization would be an advantage Knowledge and Experience The individual will be a time served Electrician with at least 5 years industrial experience in a busy manufacturing environment Strong Electrical background Experience in AC drives/inverters, DC drives/controllers electromechanical and optical sensors Some Knowledge of PLC's power electronics/ electronics and electrical installation Knowledge and experience of Fanuc robots would be advantageous Knowledge of the Permit to work systems Experience of using computer base maintenance systems Skills and Competencies Problem solving and fault-finding expertise Conversant with safe systems of work lock out tag out systems Self-motivated, proactive approach is essential Able to meet the demands of a physical role EnerSys provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
