Experienced Pub Manager ( 3 Months Fixed-Term Contract)

Job Description An exciting short term opportunity that will suit a seasoned pub professional pub in the vibrant Kemptown area of Brighton.
Full time and £17.50 an hour.
This opportunity will require you to use all of your skills, knowledge and hands on experience to run a friendly, wet only local pub.
You will support the new owners by getting everything ready for opening following a brief period of closure.
You will then run the pub yourself from December 2024 until the end of February 2025.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of setting up the pub, including buying stock, setting up the bar, ePOS system etc.
You will use your prior experience in running a pub to ensure we establish the best operational practices and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsible for all aspects of the pub's day to day operations, including serving customers, stock control.
The role will involve full cleaning duties (including WCs).
You will make sure all our customers get top quality service and help us to build the profile of a warm and welcoming local pub that serves the local community.
Experience, Competencies and Knowledge Required: You must be a personal licence holder and will become the DPS.
Full cellar management experience, including cask ales.
Must live locally.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong numerical skills for inventory and financial management.
Ability to operate the pub single handedly, including weekends and evenings.
You will be required to work on New Year's Eve, but will have Christmas Day off.
You must be available to start working with us in December (no later).
