Location : Jackton Distillery, Hayhill Road, G74 5AN Job Overview : We're seeking an experienced and highly organized Events Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of event operations for RAER Scotch Whisky.
Having only recently opened our distillery doors to the public, we're introducing a range of new event offerings—from private tours and weddings to distillery-hosted gatherings and exclusive tasting events.
The Events Manager will be pivotal in building and refining these experiences, working alongside a passionate team to establish Jackton Distillery as a destination venue for unforgettable events.
This is a unique opportunity to shape our offerings from the ground up, creating memorable, high-quality experiences allowing people to Make Every Moment RAER.
Responsibilities : Plan and Execute Events : Coordinate and manage events from start to finish, tailoring each event to client requirements, budget, and target audience.
Oversee Budgeting and Invoicing : Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are cost-effective while maintaining quality standards.
Vendor Management : Source, negotiate, and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Staff Management : Recruit, train, and supervise event staff, ensuring high standards of performance and guest satisfaction.
Customer Relations : Build and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring that client expectations are exceeded.
Event Logistics and Operations : Manage logistical aspects of each event, including scheduling, setup, teardown, and ensuring that each event runs smoothly and on schedule.
Health & Safety Compliance : Work with head of site Operations to ensure adherence to health and safety standards, particularly for large events.
Co-ordinate external events: Work with Sales team to organise, staff, and attend external sales events.
Requirements : Proven experience as an Events Manager or similar role within hospitality, with a strong understanding of event planning and project management.
Excellent front of house manner, confident and personable with guests, customers, clients, contractors, and our in-house team.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
Leadership skills with experience working in a team.
Strong problem-solving abilities Knowledge of budgeting, KPIs, and event marketing techniques.
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality/related field preferred or equivalent valuable experience.
Must be over 18 years old.
