Trust And Foundation Fundraiser

The Trusts Fundraiser has an important role in generating income from trusts and foundations.
The position requires drive, enthusiasm, autonomy, and simultaneous work across different projects.
The ability to build relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders is essential.

Understand the overall and specific budget aims, targets and expectations for fundraising.
? Through the use of the current existing trust and foundations database, to further expand your research and evaluate potential charitable trusts.
Research new Trusts through the use of a range of available resources such as online databases, annual reports, third sector publications etc.
? Developing, writing and submitting compelling, relevant funding applications to Charitable Trusts and Foundations.
High quality trust applications: communicate the charity's funding needs in a clear, consistent way to potential trust funders through high quality funding applications, events and communications ? Developing, reviewing, and leading the strategy for maximising and renewing income from trusts, foundations and grant making bodies, and successfully executing a rolling programme of applications.
? Establishing and monitoring progress of applications, including working to agreed KPI's and ROI's, and providing financial reporting and other management information on a timely basis ? Liaising directly with key contacts in trusts, foundations and grant making bodies to establish important dates and criteria in order to strengthen applications.
? Identifying and developing opportunities to generate and/or increase income from trusts, foundations and grant making bodies.
? To build strong, long-term relationships with Trusts and Foundations through regular telephone, written dialogue, face-to-face contact (when possible) through excellent communications and networking skills.
Written updates and other feedback as appropriate ? Understanding of organisational funding needs: research and understand the funding needs of the charity, including core funding, projects, and capital expenditure ? Research potential trust funders (local, regional, national, and if appropriate international).
? To develop and maintain regular reports to your line manager on a weekly basis, of the previous weeks activities.
To establish targets with your line manager and to ensure those agreed targets are achieved with any variance documented.
? To update regular reports to funders, that require updates on progress of projects they have funded.
? To attend funding seminars that are appropriate, to gain knowledge of monies available to the charity ? The post holder must act at all times in a professional and responsible manner and have due regard to confidentiality and Health & Safety legislation.
? To undertake any other duties reasonably required.
Training and Development To keep up to date with new developments, legalities, codes of conduct and best practice within both this and the wider fundraising sector.
To take a proactive role in your own continual professional development.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: £29,000.00 per year
