Overview Waters Wilmslow are looking for an experienced Commodity Manager to join their team!This position will be responsible for the strategic supplier management within the MS (Mass Spectrometry) global portfolio.
Maintaining and improving upon strategic procurement and management of key materials to support the overall MS business.
The Commodity Manager will be responsible for business relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and raise any identified business risks, whilst ensuring that suppliers engage good manufacturing practice.
Cost saving initiatives and improvement projects in support of the annual operating plan form part of the role.

Responsibilities Identify and Implement Sourcing Projects and project specific spendIdentify, lead, and drive cost saving for the Wilmslow and Wexford through PPV initiatives Provide Supply Chain support where required to meet NPI launch and transferProactively handle and review existing and new suppliersTo Identify new suppliers to meet our technical requirements when requiredTargeting key manufacturers for direct purchasing agreements and exclusivityFind opportunities for consolidation and alignments within the overall Waters supply baseCollaboration Cross functionally with supply chain to maintain availability and minimise supply problem issuesDual sourcing analysis across MS portfolio to assess risk mitigation opportunitiesCollaborate with quality, engineering to review and implement strategies for cost recoveryManagement of all component agreements and reporting of financial liability.
