Due to continued growth across our organisation, we're excited to announce a newly created role for an Estates Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This position is based between our High Wycombe and Chesham Office + includes travelling to properties across our operating area () This position is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in a role that is central to the success of our Estates Services team.
Working within a Property directorate of around 200 professionals, you'll find plenty of support, expertise, and potential for development.
In this role, you will monitor, assess, and report on estate and building compliance, working closely with multiple departments, contractors, and managing agents to address and resolve any issues.
Key responsibilities include cyclical inspections of communal areas and amenity land, contract monitoring, and investigating and addressing customer and colleague-raised issues.
You'll also help identify estates in need of improvement, collaborating with neighbourhood teams to address areas of concern, such as anti-social behaviour.
Specific tasks involve testing safety equipment in communal areas, inspecting fire doors, water testing to comply with Legionella risk assessments, car park inspections, and carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
Requirements: Knowledge of building compliance and fire safety (or willingness to develop this knowledge) Attention to detail, good communication skills, and collaborative working style Understanding of relevant legislation for the estate services sector Minor building repair skills (DIY level) and basic physical fitness Valid manual driving licence for a mobile role Further information: For the full job description and person specification for the role please see the attachment at the bottom of this page.
