Location: Hybrid Working (a mix of office, home and site working) Work type: Permanent.
37 hours per week, Monday Friday between the working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.
The role will involve travel to different sites across Yorkshire, therefore you will need a UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of at least 1 day in the office per week.
This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it.
For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.

To meet these challenges, we are embarking on a significant programme of water resource and environmental projects spanning our Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP), Strategic Resource Options (SRO) and Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) commitments.
Where you fit in As an Environmental Specialist you will coordinate and provide specialist environmental input into Yorkshire Waters water resources programme.
You will be based in the Environmental Assessment team within Yorkshire Waters Strategy & Regulation function but working closely with the WRMP and SRO teams.
The role will involve working with internal and external stakeholders to help shape the future of Yorkshire Waters long-term water resources strategy, developing a best value plan for customers and the environment.
You will: Coordinate the environmental components of various environmental/water resources workstreams including WINEP studies, project/plan-level assessments and other strategic projects/research.
This will include developing, commissioning and ensuring delivery of environmental assessment workstreams including Water Framework Directive, Habitats Regulations, Strategic and/or Environmental Impact Assessments.
Work alongside Yorkshire Water colleagues and our strategic planning partners to ensure a joined-up approach to environmental assessment across the WINEP, WRMP and SRO programmes.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
Review/QA technical documents and contribute to/author Yorkshire Water reports.
Organise and/or supervise environmental surveys.
Collate and manage environmental data sources/evidence.
What skills and qualifications you will need: Hold a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g.
Environmental Science, Geography, Hydrology, Environmental Impact Assessment) preferably with postgraduate qualifications.
Considerable experience of working within the environmental assessment/planning sector, preferably including water industry or utilities experience.
Practical experience of environmental assessment including Water Framework and Habitats Directive Regulations, preferably in a water resources context.
Good knowledge of environmental/planning legislation and ability to interpret and articulate business implications.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational skills.
Proficient with the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Ability to work within and across multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written Able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
Ability to coach others on technical issues.
Strong interpersonal skills, which are used to effectively influence and negotiate on environmental legislation matters at regional and national levels.
Membership of appropriate professional body (e.g.
