Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Makaton trained Teaching Assistant on behalf of one of our partner Secondary SEN schools in advance of when the school re-opens.
This role involves providing one to one support to a pupil with Autism and Hearing Impairment.
You will be expected to utilise your Makaton training daily and aid the pupil with their learning.
Ultimately, you will help the pupil raise their engagement and attainment.
The most desirable candidate will have: Experience working with children with Autism (Autism Awareness training is preferred but not essential) Makaton training Experience working in schools is essential as is knowledge of working against a support plan / behaviour plan Foundational BSL Experienc of working with Hearing impairment A positive, caring and pro-active attitude Creativity Teaching Personnel is the UK's leading education recruitment agency.
