Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking an energy meteorologist to join our expert, dynamic forecast team.

Job title · Energy Meteorologist Job Description The successful candidate will work within our weekday-based team of energy meteorologists, analysing and interpreting observational, teleconnection and forecast model data to ensure our energy customers are always in receipt of the most accurate and up-to-date information available.
Forecasting is on a global scale and ranges from intra-day to seasonal in scope.
The candidate will require strong interpersonal and customer-focussed skills, critical for client-facing discussions.
Alongside regular verbal briefings with energy customers, comprehensive written briefings are required.
A proactive, professional and energetic approach is necessary, with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the working environment, including product innovation and development.
Experience and skills required · A degree in meteorology or associated science.
· Experience as an operational energy forecaster for European or worldwide markets.
· Comprehensive knowledge of global weather models, including their strengths and weaknesses.
· In-depth knowledge of synoptic meteorology and climatology.
· Knowledge of key teleconnections and how they can impact global weather patterns.
