As an Employment Advisor , you'll work with NHS Talking Therapies and the Department of Work and Pensions to support individuals with mental health challenges in overcoming employment barriers.
Your role will involve one-to-one client support for job retention, employer communication, and job or volunteer searcher Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored guidance to help clients identify barriers and set employment goals.
Facilitate job retention and liaise with employers as needed.
Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, including mental health and community partners.
Organize community activities, manage admin tasks, and connect clients with additional resources.
About You: Experience and Expertise : You will have experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges, particularly in a community or mental health setting.
Your background has equipped you to inspire and motivate people, assess and address employment barriers, and understand client needs to help them achieve their goals.
Experience working with mental health clients.
Strong motivational skills and knowledge of employment support.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Advice, Health and Social Care, or Customer Service.
Full, valid driver's license (required for travel to community sites).
Understanding of employment law and the Equalities Act 2010 is a plus.
