Main duties of the job We are looking for people who are passionate about mental health and committed to supporting and empowering young people and their families/carers.
This three-year apprenticeship, with two posts available, combines hands-on experience with academic training through the University of Kent's highly regarded Social Work programme, ranked second in The Times Good University Guide 2025.

Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.
All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities Starting at Band 3, you will progress through each band annually, reaching Band 6 upon qualification.
We encourage applicants without traditional qualifications, as we highly value practical work experience.
Upon successful completion, you will become a fully qualified Social Worker within the Crisis, Assessment and Triage Team.
