The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for cars, exceptional writing skills, and extensive knowledge of the automotive industry, as well as established strong relationships with manufacturers and key figures.
As Editor-at-Large, you will play a crucial role in shaping our editorial voice, producing high-quality content, and representing Auto Express at industry events.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Write in-depth features, reviews, opinion pieces, and news articles on a wide range of automotive topics.
Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and execute content strategies that align with our brand and engage our audience.
Attend automotive events, car launches, press briefings, and other industry gatherings to gather insights and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Serve as a public face of Auto Express, participating in media appearances, interviews, and panel discussions.
Work closely with editors, writers, photographers, and digital teams to ensure the highest standards of content quality and consistency.
Help ensure the entire team is producing the best-quality work, and help leave the drive to even greater writing.
Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and market changes to ensure Auto Express stays at the forefront of automotive journalism.
Engage with our readers through social media, comments, and other platforms to foster a strong community around the Auto Express brand.
Develop and nurture the more junior members of the team WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive journalism or a related field, with a strong portfolio of published work.
You possess exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
You have a strong understanding of SEO and digital content strategies.
You have a deep understanding of the automotive industry, including current trends, technologies, and key players.
You have an established network of industry contacts and the ability to build new relationships.
You are willing to travel frequently for events, car launches, and other assignments.
