Bowland Ecology is a well-established and thriving ecological consultancy.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint an Ecologist to our friendly and supportive team.
Roles are available in support of our work in North West England, the Midlands, Wales and Scotland including opportunities for hybrid/flexible working.

You can expect: Competitive salary The chance to work on a wide variety of interesting and challenging projects including large scale infrastructure, brownfield sites, minerals projects and work commissioned by Government Agencies including projects that have won industry awards Payment of CIEEM membership fees Ongoing support via a bespoke training programme Flexible working and work from home options Employee Assistance Programme Scope of role: Manage own projects (including fee proposals and client liaison) and assist with the management of other projects as required Plan, coordinate and undertake habitat and protected species surveys Production of ecology reports, desk studies and plans, and data input, management and analysis Design and implementation of simple ecological mitigation schemes Pre-works inspections and site supervision of ecological/environmental mitigation (ECoW/EnvCoW) Supervision of Assistant Ecologists Successful Candidates will: Have a relevant degree level qualification Have membership of CIEEM or equivalent Have in practice experience Hold or be working towards one or more protected species license/s (desirable) We encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly those under-represented within Ecology.
