EC&I Technician We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician to join the maintenance team at a cutting-edge gasification power facility.
This role is ideal for a technician with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems, looking to contribute to the smooth operation of a renewable energy power plant.
Key Responsibilities of the EC&I Technician include: Perform diagnostic and repair work on all EC&I assets, including sensors, control systems (DCS, PLCs), and electrical systems, ensuring maximum plant uptime.
Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to enhance plant availability.
Participate in major maintenance activities, plant shutdowns, and outages to maintain efficient operation.
Work closely with the team to troubleshoot faults and provide recommendations for system upgrades.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Supervise and manage contractors on-site as needed, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols.
Skills and Experience Required: A completed apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Measurement & Control, or a related field, along with an HNC qualification.
Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within a heavy process environment, such as a power station, chemical plant, or refinery.
Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, and instrumentation systems, as well as some electrical systems.
Experience using CMMS, preferably with Piranha.
Ability to work independently and manage small projects, including the planning and execution of tasks.
Familiarity with PID and 3-way loop systems is a plus.

Additional Information: A salary of £41,224 per annum + bonus scheme The role includes on-call duties every three weeks, from Friday to Friday.
Occasional involvement in large-scale plant maintenance activities.
