We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Duty Manager to assist our General Manager in overseeing daily operations.
As the Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the bistro.
You will support the General Manager in managing staff, optimizing service delivery, and enhancing the guest experience.
This position requires excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that all areas of the bistro run smoothly and efficiently.
Supervise and train staff to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold the bistro's standards.
Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
Implement and uphold health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment.
Assist in scheduling staff and managing labour costs to ensure efficient operations.
Handle cash management and assist with financial reporting as needed.
Step in for the General Manager during their absence, taking full responsibility for the bistro's operations.
Qualifications: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a busy restaurant or bistro setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety regulations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
