The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new team of Duty Controller's in our Rail Replacement Team, based in Farringdon.
The successful applicants will assist in coordinating and managing the rail replacement activities for GTR.
Primarily, the role will be based in Farringdon with a move across to Three Bridges Rail Operating Centre expected in the Spring of 2025.
Duties Include Arranging road transport at times when the train service is disrupted Responsible for the quality of our customer-focused response To provide efficient and effective administrative support Work effectively with external suppliers and colleagues Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.
The Candidate An individual who can develop effective working relations with suppliers and colleagues Can handle high pressure situations in a calm and logical manner It would be desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport The posts involve working 12 hours per day, based on 4 days working and 4 days rest, covering Early, Late and Night shift patterns.
