The Teneo Tax Team specialises in providing tax advice on the restructuring of financially distressed businesses as well as advisory services as part of our rapidly growing capital advisory business.
They have built a fantastic track record in recent years, leading on some of the UK's largest and most complex restructuring processes.
These include insolvency appointments such as well known company administrations, liquidations and receiverships as well as debt-for-equity swaps, schemes of arrangement and M&A processes.
The variety of work really stands out, as does the friendly and supportive nature of the team.
The team has a great mix of UK and international transactions work and is looking to recruit a VAT specialist at Director level to build on the existing business capability and target a number of exciting developments in our key markets.
This role is a combination of advisory and oversight of compliance across a broad spectrum of business sectors.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage the effective delivery of indirect tax projects, ensuring technical excellence in a complex commercial environmentMentor and develop junior team membersContribute to winning new work by building and maintaining client relationships (including internal stakeholders) with support of the wider tax teamKeep up to date with indirect tax legislation and practical changes and assist in the technical development of the teamResponsible for managing team members to meet project deadlines and HMRC liaison where appropriateKey Skills & ExperienceCTA qualified with excellent VAT technical and analytical skillsBroad UK VAT technical knowledge/experienceStrong partial exemption, insolvency and M&A experience is very usefulA commitment to team workingExcellent project management skills and the ability to prioritise tasksAbility to build strong client relationships, both internal and externalExisting strong client and market relationshipsWhat can we offer you?New joiners are supported by a week-long induction programme, and continuous improvement is achieved through a structured and tailored programme that suits your career development.
