Reporting into the President of Marketing, the Director/Sr.
Director of Global Marketing leads the global marketing organization managing a team of product and marketing managers.
This highly visible leadership role plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our surgical robotics product portfolio, driving both upstream and downstream marketing.
This position is responsible for developing and executing the upstream and downstream marketing strategy, which includes leading the team in identifying market opportunities, defining product concepts, initiating the product development process, working with the commercial teams on go-to-market strategies, and strategically positioning CMR robotics in the competitive market.
The ideal candidate will combine their deep knowledge of medical technology with marketing expertise to bring innovative, high-quality solutions to the market.
This role requires strong leadership capabilities to manage and inspire the global marketing team.

Responsibilities Team Leadership and Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a global marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and high performance.
Ensure alignment across regions and departments.
Procedural Marketing: Development of procedural marketing focus areas and strategies; positioning CMR's value within key procedural areas.
Marketing Strategy: Conduct comprehensive market research, identify trends, customer needs, competitive landscape.
Channel marketing [digital, campaign, social events] to promote product and brand awareness.
Develop value propositions, product & brand positioning to optimally communicate the Versius value.
Product Concept Development, Definition & Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate market insights into product concepts; product roadmaps, value propositions, and positioning strategies.
Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept through development and launch to post-market activities.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute marketing strategy that aligns with business goals.
Identify target customer segments and establish Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
Clearly define product requirements, specifications, and features in collaboration with R&D, engineering, and other stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, clinical teams, regulatory affairs, R&D, Digital, and other relevant departments to ensure successful and timely new product launches, GTM strategies, branding, campaigns and event management.
Market Communication: Provide strategic direction, positioning, segmentation, and targeting for marketing communications.
Lead the development of marketing collateral, including product literature, presentations, and digital content.
Lead development of marketing campaigns and strategies.
Budget Management: Manage the budget for all marketing activities, ensuring cost-effective strategies.
Digital Presence: Lead our digital presence through key strategies and transformation.
KOL Management: Cultivate groups of leading KOLs/executives to advise on market and product development.

You'll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Commercial remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.
About You To be successful in this role, you'll need to have/be: Degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, or Clinical Science.
MBA preferred.
10+ years of medical device/medical products and solutions; marketing experience in an international business environment and in clinical settings.
5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing professional teams in a sales, marketing or product management setting.
Experience defining value propositions, stage-gated product development processes, and product launches across multiple countries.
Clinical experience in the operating room with minimal access surgery and/or robotic-assisted surgery.
Strong analytical skills and a passion for shaping the market changing the standard of minimally invasive surgery and driving business growth.
Ability to think creatively and pragmatically and convert product/customer feedback into valuable insights that can help drive the development of new marketing programs.
Excellent advocacy and persuasive skills to collaborate with local market and sales teams, influence others, present convincing arguments, and build and maintain extensive KOL networks.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary.
Ability to succeed in a rapidly changing, agile environment where continuous innovation is requisite to success.
Availability to travel at least 50%+ when necessary.
Located in the UK and/or EU time zone.
It would also be helpful if you have: Medical device sales or clinical consulting experience is a strong plus.
Knowledge of surgical robotic systems, software launches, digital products, and ideally advanced vision systems such as ICG.
