This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Acute team on a permanent basis as a Dietetic Support Worker working within Raigmore Hospital.
The post holder will assist Dietitians to carry out inpatient and outpatient assessments.
They will also assist in the review of nutritional care plans and hold a small supervised caseload of patients.
The post holder will provide advice on diet and nutrition plans as agreed with and supervised by a Dietitian, support patients in making food choices from hospital menus and liaise with catering services day to day on behalf of the department.
The post will also involve stock control of dietetic supplies and liaison with procurement as well as some contribution to basic administration tasks for the department.
All necessary training will be provided.
The post holder should have good communication and time management skills and feel comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment.
Experience working in the NHS or a relevant healthcare setting is preferred.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
