NHS Highland are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker to the Inverness East Urban adult social work team.
The post of Senior Social Worker is an opportunity to share your expertise as an experienced practitioner and directly assist the Social Work Team Manager with their duties and responsibilities.
Working with the Social Work Team Manager within the Inverness District, you will provide leadership, advice, support and guidance to social workers and social care staff within your District Teams to meet professional standards and service objectives as set out within the terms of legislation, policy, guidance, and delegated responsibilities.
You should have a good knowledge and experience in the application of both the Adult Support & Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 as well as the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
You will contribute to service improvement and quality of practice of the District Teams and ensure their contribution to the delivery of Integrated Health and Social Care for the adult population of Inverness East.
This is an important time of change in NHS Highland's approach to service delivery and the post holder will have an important role in supporting team members through this.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
