Development ChemistCK Group are currently recruiting for a Development Chemist to join a chemicals manufacturing and distribution company at their site based in Aylesbury on a full time, permanent basis.
The Company: Our client is a leading distributor of ingredients to the European Cosmetic and Toiletry industries.
As part of their service, they have an application laboratory in the UK which they use to better understand raw materials and develop innovative Cosmetic formulations.
Due to the extensive demand for these services, they have a vacancy for a Development Chemist to join their R&D team.

Location: This Development Chemist role is located in Aylesbury, commutable by road from surrounding areas including Oxford, Milton Keynes, London and more.
Your main duties will be to: Design new formulations to demonstrate the benefits of the products.Investigate new materials to assess their functionality for personal care applications.Use technical expertise to develop brochures, presentations, social media posts and website updates.Create and deliver technical and trends-based presentations to customers and at industry events.Investigate future trends to direct new formulation and presentation development.Provide sales teams with support via formulations, presentations, and technical expertise.Accompany sales teams on customer visits.Attend international technical exhibitions and training at suppliers.
Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience: A strong scientific background including a bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, biology, cosmetic science, or a related field.Experience in developing cosmetic formulations.
Experience in Skincare and SPF formulations would be an advantage.Experience creating technical marketing materials would be an advantage.
