Job overview Working Full Time: 37.5 hours per week We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ward 54/56 as Deputy Ward Manager.Ward 54/56 is part of the Elective Centre and comprises of 27 Emergency/Elective Surgery Beds and an 11 bed Elective/Emergency surgery unit.
Jubilee Day Surgery Centre, Elective Short Stay Unit and Theatre Admissions Lounge (TAL) also form part of the Elective Centre.The successful candidate will work closely with the Ward Manager to lead and develop the Nursing Team working throughout the elective pathway whilst also helping with the flow of patients throughout the trust from the Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly and supportive team.Working closely with the Ward Manager you will take the lead in training and development needs to all the Staff within Ward 54/56 as well as working clinically and providing leadership on a day-to-day basis.Previous surgical experience is essential, an understanding of the elective pathway is also desirable The Elective Centre includes Jubilee Day Ward, LSDC, TAL, Ward 54, Ward 56 and Pre-Operative Assessment.All teams working within the Elective Centre work to the common goal of delivering excellent quality care, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and maintaining patient flow.
