Our Client Our client is a Tonbridge based charity that supports and cares for adults with learning disabilities.
They deliver excellent services in a friendly, nurturing environment where people gain the confidence and skills to lead fulfilled, happy and independent lives.
Their unique offering provides three linked services: a Residential Care Home; a Supporting Independence Service and an on-site Day Service which provides courses and activities to over 80 students each week.
The Role This is a new role to support the current Manager of the Day Services where they support vulnerable adults with learning disabilities.
The job will entail hands on support and engagement with the attendees of the centre, getting involved in the various activity sessions to ensure they support the development of service users and encourage growth and fulfilment.
You will be expected to update and maintain service user care plans and risk assessments together with monitoring and recognising when safeguarding intervention may be required.
The role will also include supporting the staff team by carrying out supervisions and appraisals and ensuring a good team spirit with high morale whilst adopting an open door policy.
The Candidate Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 preferred or experience in the care sector, with a good understanding of learning disabilities.
Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel etc Willingness to maintain and update training qualifications Preferably a full clean drivers licence to enable driving of our vehicles Terms This is a permanent, part-time position working in Tonbridge.
The role is seeking 16-20 hours per week.
Hours are flexible across the week between the hours of 9:30am to 4:00pm - open to a discussion about the working pattern.
£13.85 to £14.87 per hour depending on experience.
The role is office based in Tonbridge with plenty of free parking.
Other benefits include 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata), increasing by one day for each year of services up to 25 days and an auto-enrol pension scheme.
