This information is removed before shortlisting.The NHS Sussex medicines optimisation team provide system leadership and oversight to ensure workstream delivery of the Sussex Medicines Optimisation strategy for the following priority areas:Improving medicines use and value Ensuring medicines safety and quality Improving medicines integration and interfaces of care Developing the Pharmacy workforce and ways of working Support medicines optimisation data and digital technology transformation Ensuring medicines sustainability and productivity Main duties of the job We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy leader who is interested in a role that supports the delivery of Medicines Useand Value, sustainability and productivityand data and digital transformation priorities across ICS.The post holder will provide leadership to:Regional medicines optimisation programmesProvide expertise and advice for cost effectiveand evidenced base use of medicines in design and transformation of treatmentpathways.Work in collaboration with specialists tooversee the standardisation of medicines use across pathways and supportimplementation across the ICS.Provide expertise and advice for serviceplanning and contracting for standardised treatment pathways.Support work on reducing health inequalities inoutcomes and access to medicines.The post holder will need to build and maintain a broadrange of relationships at all levels of the system with a particular focus on integrated working and use ofpopulation health management approaches to improve access, experience, andoutcomes from medicines.The post holder will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and report directly to the Head of Medicines Governance and Value.For an informal discussion please contact Amy Herbet or Gill Ells About us NHS Sussex ICB arecommitted to enabling team members to work in an agile and flexible way.

Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time Experience of operating at a senior level Skills and Knowledge Essential Developed communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders both internal and external (including outside the NHS) to the organisation, some at very senior level.
Clinically accountable for clinical service delivery Liaises with other agencies as appropriate.
Good presentational skills for conveying complex concepts.
Ability to use informed persuasion to influence others.
Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and create solutions and to resolve problems in relation to project or service delivery.
Ability to understand a broad range of complex information quickly and making decisions where opinions differ/no obvious solution.
Abilities for financial and staff management Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills.
Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation, working to tight and often changing timescales.
Interpreting national policy for implementation Qualifications Essential Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
Experience of working across multiple settings Relevant leadership and/or clinical post-graduate qualification.
Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council.
Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development Must understand the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the NHS England, individual provider, and commissioning organisations.
Experience of operating at a senior level
