Main duties of the job As the Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at a Barchester care home, you will support the General Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
You will take on leadership duties in the General Manager's absence, including overseeing care standards, motivating the team, and leading by example.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve your goals, conducting regular audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Working closely with the General Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you can expect to help with everything from ensuring care standards to motivating your team.

ABOUT YOUTo join us as a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you'll need be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential To join Barchester as a Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
Experience in managing residents with diverse healthcare needs, as well as a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses, is also required.
Additionally, you should have some HR experience, knowledge of sales and marketing, and an understanding of budget management.
