Job Description Job Title: Customer Service Account Manager  Job Type:  Permanent  Hours:   37.5 hours per week Job Location:  Shepton Mallet Main Purpose of Role Inside Sales and Account Management   Generate new profitable revenues by engaging and onboarding new customers, while also servicing and growing existing customers ensuring high levels of customer service and customer retention.
Conduct business analysis and market research of international trade and develop new solutions for specific market segments.
Responsible for the development, definition and implementation of marketing and communication actions  Prepare individual sales action plans  Realize current sales opportunities and identify new ones  Key Accountabilities Define overall sales strategy and create sales plans to increase SGS revenue for designated accounts/region.
Identify, research, plan, contact potential customers to establish new business to achieve targeted revenue growth.
Anticipate, identify and understand customer needs and concerns.
Make recommendations to customers about the different solutions offered by the company and translate them into sales opportunities.
Prepare and deliver presentations, quotes, service offers, and tenders within specified deadlines.
Ensure all written quotes are accurate and timely, reflecting pricing strategies and discount structures.
Negotiate terms to drive revenue while aligning with SGS profitability targets.
Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge.
Prepare and submit accurate reports on sales activities, including customer appointments and calls.
Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and sales activities, and provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
Resolve issues, facilitating the development of solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
Monitor customer satisfaction.
Build and nurture relationships with current and potential customers through regular contact.
Protect and grow existing revenue, ensure customer satisfaction and high levels of customer retention.
Liaise with technical/operational teams to ensure excellent communication channels exist to facilitate the successful receipt and execution of current and future deals.
Support business development activities as required  To be the main point of contact with the designated client Assist with follow up with client on overdue debt.
Maintain a customer database with contact details: telephone, direct mail, email, locations Learn and cross-sell other SGS services while staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and sales techniques.
Continuously enhance sales skills through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications Essential Sales qualification, or time served to demonstrate experience .
Full clean driving licence for use in the UK.
  Desirable Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific, technical, engineering discipline.
Customer Service qualification such as NVQ, Practitioner, Institute of Customer Service.
