Critical Care Nurse (ITU/ICU) High Pay & Flexible ShiftsParagon Home Healthcare is seeking qualified Critical Care Nurses (ITU/ICU) with at least 12 months of experience to join our team for flexible shifts. Ideal candidates should be able to commute easily and provide high-quality care.
Location: London and the South East
Pay rate: £33.50 - £96.00 per hour (depending on shift)
Available Shifts: Days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Main duties of the jobProvide care for patients with complex conditions, including spinal cord injuries and tracheostomies.Perform regular patient observations and monitor vital signs.Administer medications and ensure proper dosage and timing.Ensure the care plan is up to date and tailored to the patient's needs.Independently manage the patient's care in a home setting.Liaise with the clinical team from Paragon Home Healthcare, other care team members, the GP, healthcare professionals, and the patient's family as needed.About usAt Paragon Home Healthcare, we specialize in providing premium, high-quality nursing services, often at short notice. Job responsibilitiesProvide expert nursing care for patients with complex conditions, including spinal cord injuries and tracheostomies.Perform routine patient observations, including monitoring vital signs and assessing overall health.Administer prescribed medications, ensuring proper dosage and timing.Monitor and manage medical equipment such as ventilators, feeding tubes, and other devices.Ensure the patient's care plan is up to date and adjusted according to their evolving needs.Work closely with the care team to implement any changes to the plan based on patient progress.Liaise with Paragon Home Healthcare's clinical team, the patient's GP, other healthcare professionals, and the patient's family as needed.Provide clear and timely communication regarding the patient's condition and any changes to their care.Independently manage the day-to-day care of the patient in a home setting, making critical decisions as necessary.Handle emergency situations effectively and in line with best clinical practices.Person SpecificationQualificationsExperience: A minimum of 12 months recent experience in ICU/ITU or complex care.Qualifications: Valid NMC registration.Skills: Strong clinical abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.Flexibility: Willingness to travel across London and the South East.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
