The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity to work for a specialist energy full value chain networking platform, focused on high-level events and initiatives.
Energy Council is a 15-year established brand that runs a series of successful events for its global network of investors, financiers, energy, and technology providers.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on the success and growth in the portfolio of our bespoke events, which provide tailored offerings across upstream, midstream, and the downstream sector.
These include roundtables, workshops, private dinners, drinks receptions etc.
The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge and a passionate and creative outlook.
They will enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and thrive working in a team, alongside having autonomy to use their creativity to shape the events going forward.
Key Responsibilities: Help deliver speaker and content programme for core events globally – Asia Pacific Energy Capital Assembly, North America Energy Capital Assembly, and World Energy Capital Assembly.
Content pieces to be released throughout the year based off the back of the bespoke events run.
Examples: speaker interviews; podcasts; press releases/updates from sponsors Carry out research calls to help identify key themes and topics for workshops, roundtables, and private dinners that the sales team could pitch.
Build ADI (VIP) lists – this is ongoing throughout the campaign.
Identify the top 2-3 job titles (minimum) from each company that you want to add to your TM list for each bespoke event.
Target 50-100 names (updating throughout the campaign).
Expand the offering and strategy for key investors in conjunction with the CEO and Brand Sector Head Liaise with Brand Sector Head, Senior Conference Producers, sales team members, to identify key industry VIPs (usually investors) to invite to our large scale and bespoke events.
Contact selected individuals by email, LinkedIn and by telephone to discuss attendance and securing their participation in various event formats.
Meet and greet the VIPs onsite at the events, ensure they are looked after and participate in the proposed networking/social programme.
Ensure that VIPs have a superior customer experience throughout the campaign.
Work closely with the event sponsors to maximise the participation of their clients in the event.
Build strong relationships with these key VIPs to create brand commitment and loyalty.
Organise VIP Dinners, Networking Receptions, Breakfast Briefings and Closed-Door Meetings and securing VIP attendance at these functions and formats.
Deliver the One to One Council Connect Meeting Service, in conjunction with the sales team.
Work closely with the team to validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP passes.
Increase the VIP community using research methods and relationship building.
Register VIP clients on Salesforce and maintain good records.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours: Data driven approach and experience in building out datasets.
Demonstrable experience in research and building out data.
Experience in content creation and copywriting.
Experience in looking beyond the traditional conference industry revenue model and be open to embracing and creating new ideas around a commercial model.
A proven track record in confex, or the energy, finance & investment sectors.
Strong project management skills.
Confident and can build rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives.
Excellent organisational skills and able to multitask, working on multiple events at the same time.
Experience of working with systems including, but not limited to, Salesforce and Pardot.
Interest in the energy, energy transition, cleantech, finance and investment.
