Job overview This post is a great development opportunity for a Band Deputy Ward Manager looking to gain experience and insight into working with adults with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice a full range of specialist nursing skills in mental and physical health while developing managerial skills to support the ward manager.It is an exciting time to join our services, to assist in leading and developing our excellent staff team to continue to provide excellent quality care.

Main duties of the job As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be supported to develop your leadership skills, participate in, and deliver high quality group and individual treatments and be a core part of the MDT.
There are also opportunities to develop your skills in psychological therapies and sensory approaches.
You will work with the MDT to develop your generic and specialist skills in line with professional and regulatory standards (NICE) The service will provide you with an in-house education program, facilitated reflective practice sessions, supervision, and skill-enhancing workshops.
There are opportunities to participate in clinical research and innovative practice.
In addition, we offer a -day induction on commencement in post.
We are keen to support and develop you through a clear career pathway with CPD options and encourage promotional opportunities within the service and the wider Trust.
Professional leadership programs for band nurses are also available through the NHS Academy.
