The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our permanent team in our Male PICU service.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping patient care and contributing to the ongoing success of our services.
Role Responsibilities Provide high-quality clinical care for patients referred to the hospital.Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model.Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and the development of a therapeutic milieu.Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population.Lead and manage patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of care.Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff.Engage in clinical governance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring continuous high-quality care.Foster relationships with external stakeholders and maintain a network of professional contacts.Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.Commit to ongoing professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.Candidate Profile Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.Extensive experience in forensic psychiatry.Strong knowledge of clinical governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by Suttons Manor.Hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.Ability to work autonomously to agreed short and medium term objectives.Ability to understand the impact of actions on patient care and the multidisciplinary team.Ability to apply adaptive and creative thinking when translating best practice and evidence-based research into practical operational solutions.Benefits of Joining Woodbourne Hospital Competitive salary and benefits, including pension contributions, life insurance, and medical indemnity cover.Generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days, plus bank holidays.Opportunities for career progression within a leading healthcare provider.Free on-site parking and access to staff wellness programs.Collaborative and innovative work environment focused on delivering the best care.Apply Today Take the next step in your career with Woodbourne, where your expertise will make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
