As a consultant, you will be a pillar of knowledge and expertise for your colleagues, using your experience to help treat children and young people up to the age of 18 with a range of mental health conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, depression, and eating disorders.
In addition to your qualifications, as a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability), you will have: Demonstrated values in line with [Insert Trust Name].

Main Duties/Responsibilities As a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability) with Dorset Health Care NHS Trust, you will: Provide treatment for families, children, and adolescents, tailored to individual needs in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Assess families, children, and adolescents who present with a mental health issue and have a learning disability aged 5 to 18 years old.
Consult and collaborate with other agencies in the assessment and treatment of complex cases.
Meet and consult with other members of the team and members of the Children's Health Services, including Community Paediatricians.
Plan and co-ordinate mental health services for children, adolescents, and families where appropriate.
Prepare professional assessments and reports on children or young people known to you.
Participate in medical audit and evaluation.
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months.
Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
Holds and will use a valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
