Working as part of a skilled multi-discipline team, Head Medical are seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist who specializes in delivering high-quality Endoscopy services to come to work for a leading private hospital in the UK.
Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, as part of our professional, friendly, and compassionate team, you will do everything you can to ensure the patient's treatment is of the highest standard.
This organization focuses on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.
The successful appointee will be required to deliver high-quality upper and lower day-case gastroenterology services.
The work will be carried out under local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
A full-time post will be 40 hours per week (10 sessions of four hours) Monday to Friday.
32 hours will be allocated to direct patient care with 8 hours for supporting activities.

The Hospital In addition to gastroenterology, the Centre provides outpatient and elective day case and inpatient services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oral surgery, ENT, and general surgery.
The centre has two endoscopy rooms, one purpose-built and one in an adapted operating room.
The endoscopy service is run with both Olympus and Fujinon endoscope systems.
There are eight post-anaesthetic care (PACU) bays and five cubicles for the second stage of recovery.
There are four consulting/examination rooms.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS and private patients.
Requirements to apply?
Entry on GMC Specialist Register.
Recognised period of work in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions.
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology drawing on substantial experience in the specialty.
Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
Ability to manage and lead a multi-professional team.
