Main duties of the job Acute care is provided at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.
This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care, women's and children's and a range of medical and surgical specialities.
Wrightington Hospital is an elective Orthopaedic Specialist site and our Leigh Day Case unit is currently expanding its portfolio and increasing activity.
The successful candidate will have a job plan developed to accommodate their special interests whilst also meeting the service requirements of the trust.

There are regular educational meetings on two sites (Wigan and Wrightington).
There will be opportunities to become involved with Simulation Training.Work Circumstances & on-callA mutually acceptable Job Plan will be agreed on appointment to the post.
The successful candidate will undergo annual appraisal and five yearly re validations.
The Trust and the Department of Anaesthesia are committed to supporting doctors through appraisal and re validation.
There is no on -call requirement as part of this appointment.
