You will have overall clinical responsibility for the management of outpatients, overseeing the Care and Treatment Plans, delegating responsibility and working with the multidisciplinary team.
Accepting this role would see you join this experienced Mental Health inpatient service to provide care for men and women with mental disorders, you will focus on equipping people with the appropriate skills for community living.
Additionally, Welsh Government have recently approved funding to develop a 111 telephone triage service which is a first in Wales with the development of crisis care being seen as a national priority.
Aligned to this, working with and developing community crisis services will be a key part of the role.
The consultant psychiatrist role is situated in the Forge Centre, which is short commute from Swansea, Cardiff, West Wales, Neath, Port Talbot, Bridgend and surrounding areas.

You'll have access to excellent CPD with our own medical education centre based on the Cefn Coed Hospital site in Swansea as well as an education centre in Neath Port Talbot Hospital.
There is also a vibrant academic programme, plus access to a large peer group of enthusiastic and high-calibre consultants.
You could also be eligible for up to £10,000 in Relocation costs.
