Construction Safety Advisor | The primary focus of this role is in the Northwest, covering Manchester, Liverpool, and Macclesfield.
However, regular travel by train will be required | Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, occasional paid weekend overtime | Circa £50,000 Are you a skilled, experienced Construction Safety Advisor looking for an exciting opportunity to work with an industry-leading client?

With experienced consultants based in key UK regions, they provide common-sense advice which is easily scaled up or down depending on the size of a business.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on a wide range of projects, from £100,000 fit-outs and refurbishments to major construction initiatives exceeding £1 million.
Your contributions will directly influence the safety and quality standards across these exciting developments.

Are you the right person for the job?
Education & Certification: Preferably NEBOSH or SHEM diploma/degree qualified with at least 5 years of experience in construction health and safety, ideally with Tier 1 contractors Expert Knowledge: Proficiency in CDM 2015, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (including CAR SOIL), and thorough knowledge of the principal designer role Technical Proficiency: Computer literate, preferably ECDL certified, with strong written and verbal communication skills Client-Centered Approach: Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders in an inclusive and modern environment Professional Memberships: Membership in recognised safety bodies such as IOSH or Association for Project Safety and holding a CSCS (white professional card preferred) What will your role look like?
Ensure adherence to CDM 2015, project safety, and pre-construction phase safety design principles, while also overseeing risk management in all construction stages Engage effectively with stakeholders across departments, from senior directors and project management teams to contractors and business units Prepare concise, meaningful reports and executive summaries that communicate safety strategies and project updates to all levels of leadership Provide guidance on health and safety across major construction areas, including asbestos control, Temporary Works management (BS 5975), confined spaces, demolition, and permit-to-work systems What can you expect in return?
