Purpose of Role: As a Compliance Manager, you'll play a crucial role within our leadership team, overseeing compliance and financial crime both internally and with our outsourced partners.
This position is pivotal in ensuring that our operations align with regulatory requirements and support our strategic goals.
Key Accountabilities: Compliance Framework: Develop, and implement our Compliance Framework Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including 1st line, 3rd line, CEO, Monitoring Programme: Implementing and maintaining a risk-based compliance monitoring programme Strategic Engagement: Participate in strategic discussions, including product development, to ensure compliance supports key business decisions Training & Reporting: Develop and deliver staff training on compliance issues and create Management Information (MI) for compliance reporting to the Board's Risk Committee.
Regulatory Development: Horizon scan for new regulatory developments and ensure their implementation RegTech Utilisation: Apply RegTech solutions where applicable to streamline processes and enhance the value of compliance tasks Support the regulatory strategy including communications with the Regulator and authorities Support the evolution of the Bank's financial crime framework, developing policies and procedures and maintaining systems and controls sufficient to protect the Bank and customers Capability to deputise for the Head of Compliance/ MLRO in their absence Key Required Skills: Expertise Required: Financial Services Regulatory Compliance (ideally in banking) Financial Crime Corporate Governance Conduct Risk including a good understanding of the Consumer Duty, responsible lending, treatment of customers in arrears and vulnerability UK Banking Regulation Implementation of Regulatory Change Familiarity With: Products related to SilverRock business (SME Loans, Unsecured Loans.
