Job summary Are you a compassionate, Community Nurse looking to make a real impact to young families?
We're seeking a motivated Community Staff Nurse to join our Health Visiting team in Reading.
You'll work alongside our Health Visitors implementing the Healthy Child Programme and enjoy a varied role, finding every day is different!
Your work will include: Providing vital support to families in a variety of community settings, including well baby clinics, developmental review clinics, child health clinics and home visits Working within a multi-disciplinary team across the richly diverse area Advising on health and wellbeing, including for children with complex needs Working with other services to offer integrated care for vulnerable families You'll be part of a supportive team with ongoing training and professional development.
There's the opportunity to get involved in areas you're passionate about.
For example, our community staff nurses champion breastfeeding clinics, support in neonatal units and run our text-based 'Chat Health' service.
There's also the potential to be supported to study the SCPHN course and become a qualified Health Visitor.
Our service operates Mon to Fri from 9 - 5.

Main duties of the job Support families within a variety of community settings considering the diverse needs of the community.
Work with the HV team to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) especially focussing on the antenatal and the 6-8-week postnatal contacts Provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management, parenting skills and delivering programmes of care to vulnerable families as identified by the health visitor.
Support breastfeeding and parent infant relationships applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
Be fully aware and understand of local safeguarding policies and procedures.
