Job summary We are currently looking for highly motivated and innovative Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to join our CMHT.Teign Core Mental Health Team are a dynamic, nurturing and supportive team where there is excellent peer support and opportunity for development.
You will have a reasonably sized caseload and will also support our assessment function as well.
Main duties of the job Teign Core Mental Health Team provides compassionate, kind and recovery-focused care to our patients, carers and their families.You will need to be able to work autonomously in the community and use your own initiative.
The successful candidates will have sound clinical skills, with a desire to continue their development as the team grows.You will also need good assessment and communication skills.There will be lots of shadowing/training opportunities to help you develop in the role and you will need to work alongside other agencies to promote holistic recovery-focused care.

Person Specification Experience Essential Postgraduate experience in at least two inpatient settings or substantial experience working within a mental health and/or learning disabilities setting; Knowledge & Skills Essential An understanding of the NSF and Mental Health Act/ Mental Health Capacity Act requirements.
An understanding of CPA Process Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems.
Ability to be mobile across a geographical area.
Qualifications Essential An appropriate up to date professional mental health qualification eg RMN, OT or social worker on the appropriate professional body register and hold current registration with no restrictions.
It will be an essential requirement for newly qualified social workers to demonstrate that they have completed The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) before commencing in post or there will be a requirement to complete this within the first 12 months of employment with the Trust.
