Job DescriptionUltra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Commercial Officer to join the Commercial Function. The Ultra Commercial function is responsible for the effective management of the contractual agreements entered into by PCS, including the negotiation of the terms and conditions of contractual agreements with customers, suppliers and partners, ensuring compliance with those agreements and agreeing changes to them as the need arises. The diversity of product portfolio, customers and platforms within PCS ensures a variety of commercial challenges.
Key Responsibilities: The day to day point of interface on commercial and contractual matters for selected contractsTimely development, approval and issuance of bids and proposals in line with delegation of authority.Support the identification of commercial risk and the development and implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies and actionsEnsure that the Company's contractual obligations are communicated to the project teams and support functionsSupport the resolution of commercial issuesSupport the project teams to identify contract changes and engage the Change Control processReviewing, re-drafting and supporting the negotiation of customer contracts, amendments and agreements.Support the protection and management of the company's intellectual property rightsHelp develop, improve and maintain Commercial policies and processesLiaison with the trade compliance team to ensure compliance with regulationsKnowledge, skills and experience: Essential Well organised and confident individual able to take the lead on business issuesPrevious experience in a customer interface roleCan demonstrate the ability to identify key areas in contract terms supplied by other parties that, if accepted, would represent a significant risk to the CompanyA lateral thinker that demonstrates Commercial awareness, business acumen and an attention to detail whilst meeting challenging deadlinesConfidence with numbersGood communicator – oral and writtenCan demonstrate the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholdersWorks effectively in a teamSelf-motivated and proactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectivesUse own initiative within the scope of the rolePlans work and delivers on time, with agility to re-plan priorities to meet the needs of the businessDemonstrates a high level of integrity and inspires trustAbility to identify and develop solutions to problemsDemonstrates a "Can do" positive attitude, with a willingness to developGood application of Microsoft packages and relevant softwareEmbraces and shares Ultra's ASPIRE valuesDesirable Recognition of contract lawRecognition of export control regulationsPrevious experience in Aerospace or a similar fieldPrevious experience in reviewing complex contractual documentsQualifications Degree in a relevant discipline including but not limited to: law, economics, business, or suitable equivalent experienceGCSE Maths and EnglishBenefits: Every employee is critical to our success and as such we offer a range of flexible employee benefits along with career development opportunities.
