Person Specification Knowledge and skills Essential To have a degree or other recognised qualification in occupational therapy HPC Registered Post graduate specialist experience in palliative care as demonstrated by ongoing CPD Specialist knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches to the management of conditions, including advanced clinical reasoning and treatment skills Experience of teaching and presenting to other staff Experience of supervising and developing other staff and students Knowledge of Clinical Governance and its implications for the occupational therapy service and palliative care Desirable Masters level qualification in palliative care Experience of a range of health settings Communication Essential Excellent communication skills, including the ability to process and share complex information Demonstrates professional autonomy Able to pass on specialist skills/knowledge to others within formal and informal settings, including multidisciplinary groups Desirable Training and Presentation skills
