Job summary We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician that is Willow certified to join our well-established Clinical Systems Team as a subject-matter expert in preparation for the introduction of Epic Electronic Patient (EPR) Record System in areas of Pharmacy and Chemotherapy pathways.ESNEFT has identified Epic as their preferred supplier in delivering a new EPR system.

The EPR will benefit all clinical & operational areas, aligning to our Trust strategy to support harmonisation of services and patient pathways across the Trust.You will play a key role in providing day to day management of designated system modules for which you are responsible for, incorporating both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy systems, oncology treatment plans and medication administration support.
You will be part of the team in managing the software performance reporting process, liaise with system suppliers, clinical informatics team and keep up to date with developments.

Main duties of the job You will support the Chief Pharmacy Information Office (CPIO) and Clinical Informatics Pharmacists in the development, configuration, testing, implementation, optimisation and maintenance of systems as part of the digital transformation of pharmacy services and their informatics.
Work to ensure the digital pharmacy strategy is aligned with Trust and pharmacy business plans.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the Electronic Prescribing and Medicine Administration functionality within the EPR.
You will manage the automated dispensing cabinets project, ensuring their optimal use, informatics, benefits realisation, ongoing maintenance and the strategy for Automated Dispensing Cabinet adoption trust wide.
Support the delivery of IT reporting systems including clinical informatics benefits realisation.
Support the work of the wider clinical informatics team and associated workstreams Ensure effective management of pharmacy informatics resources, policy and strategy development as part of the EPR team.
Act as an expert and super user trainer to ensure safe and appropriate use of all digital medicines system You will be based at Ipswich or Colchester and will be expected to travel to all Trust sites as and when required.
