Your role will involve planning and delivering creative and inclusive lessons, assessing student progress and supporting pupils in achieving their full potential during a critical phase in their education.
Responsibilities of the Classroom Teacher (Maternity Cover): Deliver engaging and innovative lessons by the national curriculum.
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of all pupils.
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage development.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupils' academic and personal growth.
Uphold high standards of behaviour and promote a positive learning culture.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and school initiatives, fostering a holistic educational experience.
Requirements of the Classroom Teacher (Maternity Cover): Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification.
Proven experience in teaching within a primary school setting.
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
