Job Title: Class 1 Driver (Flatbed) Location: Slough Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (6:00 AM start) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Slough.
This role involves the transportation of building materials using a flatbed vehicle.
With a guaranteed 10-hour shift per day, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery to various sites, maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring secure loading and unloading of building materials.
Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with legal requirements.
Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules.
Secure loads on the flatbed to prevent damage during transit.
Adhere to all health and safety standards, including securing and handling heavy loads.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle checks, and any incidents.
Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
Requirements: Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license.
Minimum 1 year of experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
Proven experience with flatbed vehicles and securing loads, ideally transporting building materials.
Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.
Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading duties as required.
Working Hours and Pay: Monday to Friday, day shifts starting at 6:00 AM.
Guaranteed 10 hours per day .
