Main duties of the job Create and maintain communities ofpractice amongst relevant health and care professionalsLeadership within an integratedteam in the ICB to deliver excellent performance outcomesLeadership within an integratedteam in the ICB on development of relevant strategy, clinical and digitalpathways and policyLeadership of relevant researchand innovationLeadership of digitalopportunities within medicines management workstreamsContribute to the leadership anddelivery of the ICB objectivesPersonal development to increaseeffectiveness and set or maintain career trajectory About us The NHS Suffolk and North-East Essex Integrated Care Board(ICB) plans and buys healthcare services for our population.
This function iscommonly referred to as commissioning.
To do this, we work within a budget of around£ billion, which is set by NHS England, and work closely with localgovernment and the NHS providers in our area.Our performance is judged by howwell our local health and care system as a whole is working, including thehealth outcomes of our communities.The ICB has delegated some authority to the threehealth and wellbeing alliances that operate in Suffolk and North-East Essex toact on its behalf.
This is to ensure that the needs of smaller, local areas areaddressed.
The ICB remains accountable for all of its functions, includingthose it has delegated.Local residents have a big role to play in theoperation of the ICB.

Job description Job responsibilities The CCIO will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team across the ICB and wider ICS to support the medical director in delivering a future digital model of care across the system.
The consequent priorities to achieve this outcome are outlined in the SNEE Joint Forward Plan (2024-2029).
The post will focus upon the following areas of work: Clinical Digital Voice in transformation Develop and implement new clinical digital strategic plans in collaboration with colleaguesacross the ICS Building relationships between leaders across the system Bring clinical expertise in digital transformation and enablement, Information Governance, Clinical Safety and user experience Be a member of the Strategic Digital Investment and Assurance Committee Represent the ICB clinically on partner strategic digital programmes, within and out with the ICS Work closely with NHSE and Health Innovation East to further joint strategic aims Scan the horizon for new clinical digital opportunities Support the implementation of Population Health Management in practice across the ICS Management of digital clinical safety for the ICBThe JFP can be found here with further detail.The job description and person specification are an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role.

The post holder will develop effective strategy and operational policies for promoting innovation across the ICB.
Working closely with colleagues across the sector, ensuring coherent strategy and will:Drive the strategy for, supporting and ensuring alignment across the system Drive reform and support organisational change and uptake of initiatives that support excellence Develop and communicate the vision for the role of innovation, and the development of strategy and operational policies to support this vision Engage with key strategic regional and national policy makers to inform development of strategy and policies Identify examples of national and international best practice and to ensure that the ICBs area benefits from relevant innovations in healthcare Support development by developing the innovation infrastructure and capacity in organisations Develop and champion new initiatives or projects as necessary Working with providers and clinical experts to design new training products Provide expertise of best practice methodologies regulatory requirements, policy imperatives, innovation and technological developments and stakeholders knowledge.

Person Specification Skills Essential Dynamic personality and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and wide support networks in a political context Strong external communications skills in a politically sensitive environment and experience in handling media Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required Extensive experience of delivering presentations to large groups of stakeholders in often pressured and politically sensitive environments Ability to analyse highly complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources Demonstrated capability to act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and decision making Ability to analyse numerical and written data, assess options and draw appropriate initiatives Leadership, vision, strategic thinking and planning with highly developed political skills Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly Experience of managing and prioritising a large budget Ability to provide informative reporting on finances and impact to Board management Experience in leading a major change initiative with entrepreneurialism in a challenging organisational environment Experience of creating a new team and motivating and inspiring staff to work together to achieve a common objective Ability to delegate effectively Ability to work effectively between strategic and operational activities where required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills Desirable Experience of project and programme management techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects Knowledge, Training and Experience Essential Educated to masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area Proven and significant leadership experience.
Significant evidence of continued professional development Demonstrated expertise in a Healthcare environment Significant management experience at senior level in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry Proven Board level experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment Proven record in transferring processes and roles between locations.
