CEO (Charity)   Location: Brighton    Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience   Permanent, Full Time    Hours: 37.5 hours per week       Closing date: Sunday 5th January 2025     Interviews: Week commencing 13th January 2025      Anyone can develop a problem with drink or drugs, no matter background or situation.
But we know women are more likely to face barriers to accessing the support they need.
Working closely with the Trustees, the leadership team and the rest of the organisation, you'll move Oasis forward by leading delivery of the strategic plans; strengthening financial resilience; and ensuring we fulfil governance responsibilities in order to realise Oasis' vision of giving hope and delivering effective support to people affected by drugs and alcohol.
As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for helping meet the challenges of a testing financial environment, fast-changing and complex user needs and a rapidly evolving policy framework.
This is alongside helping to support the needs of staff and volunteers, at the same time as moving Oasis to become even more diverse, inclusive and representative of the communities we serve – now and into the future.
We're looking for someone who will help put innovation at the heart of all we do, so that we can continue to deliver the highest standards of service, whilst capitalising on the phenomenal work already being delivered.
Keys skills required:      Collaboration and partnership working   Strategic planning   Leadership   Effective communication   Organisation and decision-making   Knowledge and understanding of the drug and alcohol services sector / voluntary / health and social care sector   Who we are looking for      Strong leadership skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and develop teams of people to deliver results.
Proven track record of securing funding in a tough financial climate, particularly through trust and foundation applications   Understanding of key issues, policy and legislation surrounding drug and alcohol services.
Experience in financial management and budgeting skills.
Experience in leading change management.
Understanding of the voluntary and community sector in the UK and the issues it faces.
Ability to think strategically and to communicate the strategic vision.
