Pay Scale: £18PerHour Job Description: Providespecialistsupport,tailoredtosuittheyoungpersonsneeds,as agreed with the DSS programme manager.
Prepareinadvanceofthesupportsessionandhaveallnecessaryresources for the session.
ProvideweeklyandmonthlyupdatestotheDSS ProgrammeManageronthe young persons progress through the completion of engagement records.
Toliaisewithallstakeholdersinthestrictestconfidenceregardingthehealth and wellbeing of learners.
Engagewithlocalexternalagenciesforspecialistsupport.
TosupportlearnerswithemployabilityskillsincludingCVwriting, job/placement searching and interview techniques.
Assist tutors to deliver Vocational skills and essential skills qualifications.
Workingwithlocalemployerstosecuretrainingplacementsforparticipants.
Attendandprovideinputtostandardisationmeetings.
Toperformsuchothertasksdeemednecessarybymanagement,toensure the effective support to the learner.
Tomaintaineffectiveinformationmanagement,administrativeandreporting systems, ensuring all quality processes are followed.
Continuousimprovementanddevelopmentofaddedvalueservices/activities, including sharing best practice.
AdheringtoallHealth&SafetyandSafeguardingprocedures.
To be aware of and adhere to all of Usels Policies and Procedures.
Person Specification Essential: Atleast6monthsexperienceprovidingpracticalsupport.
Thismayhavebeen as a result of paid employment or volunteer work.
Abilitytoestablishpositiverelationshipswithpeoplewithdisabilitiesandtheir family/carers.
Anabilitytocommunicateeffectivelybothverballyandinwriting.Tocomplete compulsory paperwork regarding the services and hours worked.
Proficient in the use of all Microsoft office products within a work environment.
Desirable: Experienceofworkingwithpeoplewithlearningdifficulties,disabilities and/or people who have additional needs.
Training would be desirable in the following areas Safeguarding, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia or Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD).
Knowledge of the Essential Skills Numeracy, Literacy and ICT qualifications from entry level-level 2.
