Job DescriptionAs the Cash Applications Specialist, you will ensure the timely and accurate allocation of funds to customer accounts, following all company policies and maintaining a high level of service to Informa customers and colleagues.
This role offers a balanced hybrid working model, with office days on Thursdays and Fridays.You will be responsible for carrying out tasks within set timeframes while supporting Informa's commitment to data security and privacy in all aspects of your purpose of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate allocation of monies to customer accounts.Your key responsibilities will include:Investigating and resolving unidentified or unapplied payments, allocating them as requiredProcessing bank statements and updating matching rules as neededInputting and processing daily cash receipts from statements, cheques, and credit cardsPerforming standard cash allocations and reconciling the associated General LedgerReconciling SAP, bank postings, and MCAS daily, as appropriateExecuting refund payments through the correct methodsPreparing and reconciling all bank accounts managed by the SSCInvestigating and resolving discrepancies identified in reconciliationsPreparing reconciliations for credit card and petty cash accounts, as applicableReporting on cash movements to assist in cash-flow analysis, when necessaryManaging and reconciling funds related to Agent Order Files (SSC Specific)Coordinating with internal and external customers to resolve queriesReporting on credit balances (SSC Specific)QualificationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across various internal departments and key contactsknowledge of SAP system is highly preferable, supporting efficient and accurate cash operationsProficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is essentialAbility to remain approachable and supportive under pressureSkilled in using relevant internal systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiencyDemonstrates integrity, tact, and diplomacy in all interactionsEffective team player who collaborates well with othersCapable of handling a diverse range of tasks and managing multiple responsibilitiesProactive problem-solving skills, with a solutions-oriented mindsetExcellent customer service skills, ensuring positive experiences for all stakeholdersStrong time management skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlinesAdaptable and flexible, open to taking on varied responsibilitiesStrong oral and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalismSolid understanding of Cash Applications processes, especially in:Queries & AllocationsCash Processing and ReconciliationsCash Operations best practicesThis posting will automatically expire on 11/26/2024Additional InformationWe work hard to make sure Life at Informa is rewarding, supportive and enjoyable for everyone.
