Editor, Caring Times   Hybrid, two days a week Nexus Media Group (NMG), the leading London-based media and events business focussing on the healthcare and education sectors, is recruiting an editor of its flagship title Caring Times .
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious journalist with experience in the health/social care sector to head up a well-respected brand and help shape its development in the coming years.
The ideal candidate will have experience covering the care home, nursing home, homecare, assisted and supported living, and/or retirement community markets.
This could be an editor currently covering these sectors, or a reporter ready to step up into a more senior role and take on additional management responsibilities.
Responsibilities -Reporting on market activity -Writing interviews and features -Commissioning additional content -Assisting with social media strategy, and content strategy generally -Taking full responsibility for online and physical publication -Assisting (on the content front) with NMG's busy conference schedule There is significant opportunity in this role to travel to attend NMG conferences across the country, and subject to experience and training needs, to chair panels.
Requirements -Demonstrable track record as a journalist (ideally NCTJ/NCE qualified) with a recognised industry title -Comfortable conducting CxO-level interviews -Proficient at using CMS systems -Previous experience reporting on health and social care sector activity is a distinct advantage Full support and regular training will be given to the successful candidate to ensure they have all they need to carry out their duties.
