Business Support Officer – Cemeteries Temporary, Full-Time 3 Month Contract* £14.70 per Hour PAYEClosing Date: Monday 25th November 2024 Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to support Maldon District Council in recruiting a Business Support Officer on a full-time, temporary basis.
We are looking for a compassionate individual to join our cemeteries team on an initial 3-month contract.
Cemeteries lay at the heart of our community, providing an essential service at the time of burial but holding a lifelong connection to loved ones too.
At the heart of this service, we want to assist our residents throughout the entirety of their bereavement journey.
Working in our Countryside & Coast Team you will be providing essential support during difficult times.
As a Business Support Officer, your duties will include but not limited to – · Monitoring inboxes and directing emails to relevant teams and services · Data inputting · Answering phone calls · Speaking with both residents and funeral directors · Diary management to arrange funerals · Site visit The experience you will bring to this role – · Working in Local Authority · Working in a funeral/bereavement setting (desirable) · Good communication skills · IT/Computer Illiterate · Driving Licence and use of vehicle (desirable) Due to the sensitive nature of this role, the successful candidate will have a compassionate and calming approach when dealing with customers.
