Joining as Business Development Manager Joining as Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of their growth strategy, identifying new business opportunities and expanding their market presence.
You will leverage your expertise in freight forwarding, including your existing contacts to engage potential clients, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the UK freight forwarding market Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their logistics needs Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to achieve growth objectives Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery for new clients Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and market trends What experience do you need?
Proven experience in business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and market dynamics in the UK both import and export Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, target orientated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
